Whether a patient requires wound care, short or long-term rehabilitation, post-operative care, our staff is trained to provide uncompromising care delivered using the latest and most advanced technology. Riverview meets all of the requirements of physicians and health insurance providers in a setting that is both restful and restorative.
The focus of our sub acute unit is to restore a patient’s health and independence after a hospital stay. We work with patients of all ages, concentrating on an individualized treatment plan to restore each person to maximum health. Our concern is focused on returning the patient to their prior level of independence and function as quickly and safely as possible so that they may return home.
Riverview’s safe, secure Alzheimer’s unit provides a home-like environment, designed with a dedicated kitchen and activity area to facilitate special programs and areas for quiet time. Staff in the Alzheimer’s unit is trained not only in dealing with the cognitively impaired, but they possess an innate ability to relate and provide the care and emotional support necessary in meeting the needs of residents with dementia. A close association with research and Alzheimer’s service agencies insure that our staff is kept abreast of the latest treatment approaches.
Utilizing the most advanced techniques to work with Alzheimer’s residents, we provide the stimulation and activities necessary to help them function at the highest possible level. Again, as with all of our programs, the overall health and wellness of our residents is stressed, and recreational programs are specially tailored with their special needs in mind.
Each resident’s personal care plan is designed to maximize independence and may include a variety of activities, both medically-oriented and social, including physical therapy and access to an array of amenities few other senior care sites provide. Amenities such as a greenhouse, library, gift shop, barber shop and salon, chapel and dining room featuring restaurant-style seating, set Riverview apart from other health care centers.
At Riverview we take a pro-active approach to long term care. Focusing on quality of life, not just quality of care, we see the potential in all persons to continue to fulfill themselves, maintain family and community relationships and express themselves through a wide array of activities and programs. We stress fitness and wellness for all residents because of the profound effect overall well-being has on one’s emotional outlook.
